Vast Avionics Integration Options

Sport aircraft owners can take advantage of a straightforward, easy-to-install transponder that meets modern airspace initiatives around the world. Configuration and control of the remote-mounted GTX 45R/35R is provided through the display of G3X or G3X Touch, which offers seamless cockpit integration. The GTX 45R interfaces with G3X Touch, the GTN 650/750 and GNS 430W/530W to display ADS-B traffic and subscription-free Flight Information Service-Broadcast (FIS-B) weather on these systems, while the GTX 35R offers a simple path to achieve ADS-B “Out.” Up to three G3X Touch displays and a GTN or GNS WAAS navigator can be hard-wired to the GTX 45R to display ADS-B “In” benefits simultaneously.

GTX 45R ADS-B “In” Capabilities

The GTX 45R pairs with G3X™ Touch, a GTN™ or GNS WAAS navigator to display ADS-B “In” traffic, incorporating exclusive features such as TargetTrend™ and TerminalTraffic™. The GTX 45R includes a dual-link ADS-B receiver that provides pilots with a complete picture of ADS-B-equipped traffic. Pairing the transponder with a compatible display allows pilots to overlay FIS-B subscription-free weather1 across the displays on top of dynamic moving maps with reference to airspace, terrain, flight plan information and more. FIS-B weather products include NEXRAD, METARs, TAFs, PIREPs, winds and temperatures aloft, NOTAMs, AIRMETs and SIGMETs.

In addition to ADS-B traffic and FIS-B weather, the GTX 45R can wirelessly provide precise GPS position data and back-up attitude information from the built-in AHRS via Connext®. Both wireless and wired interfaces are available for the popular aera® 660 and aera 796/795 aviation portables as well as wireless connectivity for mobile applications, including Garmin Pilot™ and ForeFlight Mobile. Customers can also take advantage of additional wireless features, such as flight plan transfer, which is built into the G3X Touch display.
